FAQs

Which areas of the country do you service?

The majority of our DJs are located in and around South Florida and our offices are located in Miami, Fl; but we serve practically any location in the United States.

How does Event Factor find its DJs? How do they become of member of the team?

Event Factor rigorously screens each member of its DJ team. As one of the leading DJ companies, we receive a lot of DJ bios and mix CDs. We only select the most skilled and professional DJs in our market. We also test each DJ at many events before they do a wedding or high profile event for us. Today, we have DJs that specialize in every style of music.

How do I choose the right DJ for my event and/or wedding?

Our staff is excellent at recommending DJs based on information gathered from you; we will guide you along each step of the process. With you in mind, each standard package includes as much interaction as necessary with the DJ who will be spinning your event.

Do DJs from Event Factor use the microphone?

That really depends on whether you would like us to. In choosing a DJ for your event, we will absolutely consider just how much or how little talking you would like the DJ to do. From announcing the bridal party to getting the crowd excited, our DJs can use the mic skillfully and tastefully. However, depending on your event we do have packages that include a separate Master of Ceremonies (which is highly recommended for certain events and weddings).

Will the DJ be suitably dressed for the occasion?

Specify the type of apparel that your Disc Jockey is expected to wear for your occasion. Formal attire or coat & tie are the most popular forms of attire. If you are having a “themed” event, make sure your entertainer is informed.

Do you provide a written contract?

It is extremely important to have your booking confirmed in writing. We require a written agreement, and the standard initial payment for entertainment services is a $250 deposit.

Are you insured?

Here at Event Factor we protect our business and the consumer. Many locations are beginning to require proof of liability. We provide them with a Certificate of Liability at their request.

Do you also book musicians?

While our primary focus is booking amazing DJ talent for you, we do have a database of musicians and a host of partners that we can refer as well. Many of these musicians work very well with DJs. Just ask and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.

How do I actually book a DJ and get more info?

Start by giving us a call now at 786-222-9914, submit an online inquiry, or email us at info@theeventfactor.com. We will then gather some additional information and make a DJ recommendation for your special event.

Other Items to Note

Disc Jockey rates vary based on talent, experience, emcee ability, service, coordination, equipment needed, music knowledge, mixing ability and personality.

Rates for the DJ industry vary greatly. The best price is not always the best deal, especially if you are planning a wedding. As a matter of fact, surveys conclude that nearly 100% of brides would have spent more money on their entertainment and made it their #1 priority in hindsight.

A full-service disc jockey company will normally invest 12 to 30 hours in your special event but it may appear that you are only paying for “4 hours”. Consultations, music purchasing & editing, preparation, set-up and tear-down, education and other business related endeavors add up to the overall success of your special occasion.
